Undoubtedly the most westernized and cosmopolitan city of India, Mumbai (formerly Bombay) is the city every tourist wishes to travel to.

Gateway Of India

Gateway of India is the most famous colonial landmark of Mumbai. It was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India in 1911 and was officially opened in 1924. Designed by the English architect Wittet, the gateway consists of a central hall with great archways, and side halls, which can accommodate 600 people.
Hanging Gardens And Kamala Nehru Park On Malabar Hill
The hanging gardens are built over a reservoir. From the Kamala Nehru Park, located opposite the gardens, one can get a panoramic view of the charming Marine Drive. The twinkling lights of Marine Drive in the night have been appropriately described as "the Queen's Necklace."
Prince of Wales Museum
One of the greatest attractions of Mumbai, the Prince of Wales Museum is a perfect example of the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture. The museum houses different sections such as those of natural history, art and archaeology, besides smaller sections devoted to other specific subjects. It is open on all days except Mondays.
Haji Ali's Tomb And Mosque
Haji Ali's Tomb is a 500-year old Muslim shrine. Built on a rocky prominence surrounded by the sea, it can be reached by a long causeway.
Taraporewala Aquarium
Open daily except on Mondays, Taraporewala Aquarium is located on the Marine Drive. It has a good collection of sea and fresh water fish and other marine life.
