A four-storeyed granite structure built in 1956, Vidhan Soudha houses the State Legislature & Secretariat. Designed on the pattern of the old Mysore palaces, there is a definite influence of the Hoysala art. It presents a magnificent view on the weekends when the entire building is illuminated.

Travel Lal Bagh

One of the most prominent amongst the many gardens in Bangalore, the botanical gardens of Lal Bagh is spread over 240 acres. Laid out by Hyder Ali in the year 1760, the garden was completed by his famous son Tipu Sultan who fought bravely with the English, when the later were trying to acquire supremacy in India. The place derives its name from the beautiful red roses that blossom here. Charming lakes, lotus pools and fountains add to the splendor of the garden.

Travel Cubbon Park

Laid in 1864 over an area of 300 acres, the park is full of flowering trees and plants and houses a public library, high Court, Government museum, Visvesvaraya industrial and technological museum and Jawahar Bal Bhavan & a Tennis stadium.

Travel Tippu's Palace

Located on Albert Victory Road, this palace was the summer residence of Tipu Sultan, killed at Seringapatam on 4 May 1799 while fighting the British. Started by Hyder Ali the palace was completed by Tipu in 1791.

Travel Bull Temple

One of the oldest temples in Bangalore, it is dedicated to the Nandi, the vahana (vehicle) of Shiva, the supreme destroyer. The idol of Nandi is huge, measuring about 15ft in height & 20 feet in length. Built by Kempe Gowda, the structure is a fine example of Dravidian style.
