Day 01 to 07

DAY 07: Periyar

Periyar is also famous for spices. Morning, visit different farms to see how famous spices are grown for which the French, Dutch, Portuguese, and British came to India. The spices found here are pepper, tea, cinnamon, clove, cardamom, turmeric, etc. Afternoon will be at leisure. Overnight stay at Periyar.

DAY 08: Periyar-Kumrakarom

Early morning depart for Kumrakarom, one of the most beautiful areas of Kerala. Upon arrival check into hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. A sleepy little backwater village on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, Kumrakarom is nothing short of a paradise.

DAY 09: Kumrakarom

Take a leisurely boat ride at the backwaters of Kerala discovering various villages and watch the locals at work in the fields. A must-see on this route is the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, home to an exotic array of birds. During winter, the sanctuary is filled with the cries of cormorants and migrating ducks. For the rest of the year, the sanctuary hosts herons and Siberian storks. Most of these birds are early risers, so the best time to spot them is also in the wee hours of the day.

DAY 10: Kumrakarom-Cochin

Morning relax in the rich atmosphere and enjoy with a bit of fishing. Drive to Cochin or Kochi, famous for its well-balanced ecosystem. Check in at hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 11: Cochin

Full day sightseeing tour includes a visit to the famed Mattancherry Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, the Portuguese church built by St. Francis in 1562 and the Chinese fishing nets. Evening witness the Kathakali dance performance. Kathakali is a extraordinary dance drama dating back to some 2000 years. It has more than 100 different 'mudras' or gestures, each based on episodes from the Mahabharata and Ramayana, the two great Indian Epics. Overnight stay at Cochin.

Tours to Mumbai

DAY 12: Cochin-Mumbai

Morning flight to Mumbai. Spend the day experiencing the city atmosphere of Mumbai and spend the evening in Leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 13: Mumbai

Morning proceed on to Elephanta caves excursion across the harbor to Elephanta Island and its famous caves, filled with the carvings and sculptures dating back to the 6th century A.D. Afternoon sightseeing of Mumbai includes the "Gateway of India," Mumbai's most famous colonial landmark; the Hanging Gardens, Dhobi Ghat, the Prince of Wales Museum, the Gandhi Memorial Museum, Marine Drive, and Jain Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 14: Mumbai

Transfer will be provided in time for international flight back home.
